Bitcoin on ICP working group

The Bitcoin on ICP Working Group is a monthly community call focused on advancing Bitcoin use cases through the unique capabilities of the Internet Computer. The group brings together developers, researchers, and ecosystem contributors with the shared goal of making Bitcoin better—through better interoperability, more powerful smart contracts, and enhanced infrastructure.

The working group focuses on three key areas:

  1. Collaborating with the broader Bitcoin and Ordinals ecosystems
  2. Building decentralized Bitcoin applications and services on ICP
  3. Advancing ICP protocol features to unlock future Bitcoin use cases, such as threshold Schnorr support and full node indexing

This group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 3:00 PM UTC. Meetings are open to anyone interested in Bitcoin development on ICP, and public summaries are shared afterward. Topics range from infrastructure like decentralized Ordinals and BRC-20 indexers to protocol-level efforts like threshold Schnorr signatures and native Taproot support.
